Issue:

After Applying an Updated License File, you may still receive an expiring license message.

Root Cause:

The issue is due to the registry not getting updated and so no change is made to the license key in the registry.

 

Solution:

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Delete the existing license from the registry by removing the following key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Prefs\com]
  2. Delete the existing license file from Ephesoft Installation Folder\dependencies\license-util directory
  3. Copy the ephesoft.lic file from licensing department to the following location: Ephesoft Installation Folder\dependencies\license-util directory.
  4. Open the command line by running it as Administrator and navigate to the Ephesoft Installation Folder\dependencies\license-util directory
  5. Type install-license.bat and run it TWICE.
  6. Restart Ephesoft Service or App
