Scanner Service Crash Issue on Rescan Operation
Ephesoft encounters an error saying “Fatal error in Twain device driver” when User stops current scan and triggers Rescan operation from the Ephesoft Transact Web-scanner screen. System, due to some reason (not only because of rescan operation) corrupts Eztwain.dll which is used for scanning operation and stopped working.
Workaround: Whenever this happens Ephesoft Scanner service needs to be restarted in order to reload the DLL because System loads the DLL only at the time when we start scanner service.
