Ephesoft Version: 3x+

Issue: Webscanner does not function or is not recognized.

Troubleshooting Tips:

Test the scanner with Windows scan application first. If it works properly with this application, the problem may lay with ephesoft. If it does not, the customer must work with scanner manufacturer to insure it is working properly with Window.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/scan-a-document-or-fileIf the scanner works with windows scan application, but the scanner is not showing up in the Ephesoft webui, check the following:
  1. Verify that java works on your computer/browser combination.

If java is not working, troubleshoot with java support pages, before continuing. Ephesoft requires a working browser with java support.
  2. Once Java is verified working, try using ephesoft webscanner. Be sure that you allow java to be run when prompted – different browsers have different ways of prompting that aren’t always apparent
