Issue Description:

We may observe an ERROR message in the logs when processing a Batch Instance or Testing a Key Value Extraction / KV Page Process rules where despite regex expression being correct doesn’t extract any results and gives you error as below:

com.ephesoft.dcma.common.PatternMatcherUtil – Pattern too long for applying Fuzzy matching.

 

Root Cause:

Above issue is only expected to happen when you have some fuzzy % defined for that Regex Rule. If for some of the fields Fuzzy% is configured and the key length is greater than 31 for the pattern. Fuzzy pattern matching in KV does not work properly for pattern having length greater than 31 characters and hence the limitation defined.

 

Solution:

  • To define the key having characters less than 32  or remove the fuzzy percentage for those fields.
