In case of invalid license Ephesoft system doesn’t allow the user to login into the application throwing an error message that “Either some internal error has occurred at Ephesoft License server side or the License Server is down.Please contact Administrator to fix this problem”.
Ephesoft stops the execution of batch processing if an invalid license is being installed on the system or license has been expired.
In case of invalid license, if user tries to process new batches then batches remains at NEW state and are not processed further.
Following are few common error messages that might be seen while validation Ephesoft License:

Causes and Resolution:
- Change in MAC address : Please verify the server MAC address and compare it with MAC address in \Ephesoft\Dependencies\licensing\details.properties. If its different then request new license by sending details.properties to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do mention number of cores on your server.
- Missing permissions in registry : Open regedit and set the User permissions to Full Control for the following Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ep hesoft .
- Missing entries in the DB tables (i.e. missing default batch classes information in the Ephesoft database , batch_class table) : Re-create databases click here. This applies only if its a fresh/new install.
