Customer would like to change the location of the log files in Ephesoft such as the <ephesoft installation>/JavaAppServer/logs directory.

Answer:

1. Application Logs

Edit <ephesoft installation>\Application\log4j.xml and replace value(s) that has ${dcma.home} with the desired path on which user wants to generate the application logs.

2. Tomcat Logs

Edit <ephesoft installation>\JavaAppServer\lib\log4j.properties and replace value(s) that has ${catalina.base} with the desired path on which user wants to generate the tomcat logs.

3. Catalina Logs

Run EphesoftEnterprise.exe located at <ephesoft installation>\JavaAppServer\bin folded as Administrator. Go to Logging tab and replace value with the desired path on which user wants to generate catalina logs.

Note:

  1. Before changing the path for tomcat logs please take backup of logging properties or xml configuration files. The corresponding logs folder must be created at the appropriate path before starting the server.
  2. Proper permission must be assigned to the logs folder(Full Control recommended).
