Issue: Ephesoft Transact is Unable to Connect to SharePoint 2013 Server

Afftect Versions: Ephesoft 4.x

User attempting to configure an external Sharepoint 2013 Server for Export may have issues along with the following errors in the logs after adding and saving the Sharepoint configuration:

sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

For this issue, t seems the certificates are not valid. Try deleting the certificate from the keystore file and re-adding it again to the keystore with a valid .cer certificate to the key store.

The below commands will delete and re-import the certificates. Enter password where ever it is required.

  • keytool -list -keystore “<<C:\Ephesoft\Dependencies\jdk\jre\lib\security\cacerts>>”
  • keytool.exe -delete -alias <aliasName> -keystore <<C:\Ephesoft\Dependencies\jdk\jre\lib\security\cacerts>>
  • keytool.exe -importcert -alias <aliasName> -keystore <<C:\Ephesoft\Dependencies\jdk\jre\lib\security\cacerts>> -file <<cer_file_location>>
